We tested the underground via ferrata in Caille

Between Grasse and Castellane, the Parc de la Moulière, in Caille, offers an original activity that is a cross between caving and via ferrata: via souterrata or underground via ferrata. Come and enjoy the coolness of the cave for a few hours!

Fill up on adrenaline with the via souterrata in Caille!

Boots, coveralls, helmet with headlamp, harness and lanyards: all the necessary equipment will be lent to you on site. Remember to bring boots or good walking shoes and a pair of gloves. You’re now dressed like a real speleologist and ready to get covered in mud. Remember to take before and after pictures! The temperature will be cool and pleasant, but if you’re sensitive to the cold take a fleece to slip under your coveralls. Listen carefully to the briefing and set off on an adventure! You’ll be alone in the cave, but an alarm system will allow you to be online immediately if there are any unforeseen circumstances.

An extraordinary discovery combining caving and via ferrata – 45 metres underground!

After a descent of about twenty meters on iron bars, you arrive in a vast cavity. Explore the temporary lake, admire the many stalactites and stalagmites, then turn back to start the journey. Rope bridge, footbridges, vast caverns and small bottlenecks, the challenges quickly follow one another on this 350-metre long course. What impressed me the most? When I was 45 meters below ground! The via souterrata in Caille is open all year round unless special weather conditions prevent it. It is advisable to book in advance. Children are admitted from the age of 8 and must be over 1m35 tall.
Individual prices for the via-souterrata: €25 adult, €20 child (from 8 to 12 years old).

Parc de la Moulière, a great place!

Thrill seekers will enjoy this tree top adventure course offering a multitude of very original modules. Have you ever seen a bike hanging in the trees? Don’t miss the cascade of zip lines: unique in Europe with more than 60 zip lines! You can also enjoy the thrill of the bike park and the Runix kart – a kind of hybrid non-motorized vehicle that is a cross between a kart and a bike. Finally, nature lovers will enjoy the various hiking trails that start from the resort. As you can see, it’s best to stay several days to enjoy all the activities available. Take the opportunity to spend a night in a tipi or a perched hut.

Plan your stay in the Parc de la Moulière!
