Discover the 100% made in Côte d'Azur beers!

Whoever said the Côte d’Azur was only the land of chilled rosé? We prove differently with this overview of breweries that stand out with their innovation, quality and the freshness of their beers! Calling enthusiasts and curious alike to follow us!

Côte d’Azur beers: NICE’S BREWING EXPERIENCE

3 breweries have settled in “Nissa la Bella” in the space of 3 years…

At the Brasserie Artisanale de Nice we stop close to the Libération district in rue Villermont to talk with Olivier who shows us his beers. Olivier experiments with audacious blends by adding orange peel (from his garden) or even chickpeas! . We continue our journey to Nice’s Éco-Vallée in St-Isidore where Natasha and Roberto have created Blue Coast. This modern brewery invites you to stay a little longer at the bar to enjoy the blue experience: visit the brewery and taste three beers. .
The discovery ends with a Socca Biera tasting. As its name suggests, it refers to Socca, a typical Nice dish with chick peas.

TREASURES OF THE COAST: HEAD FOR ANTIBES !

The coast’s craft beers recommended for a cool break after the beach!

L’Antiboise: In 2015 Solène Ronnaux-Baron settled down in the walled city to create her own micro-brewery, the B06. There she brews, bottles and labels. Solène offers 3 ranges of beer: a lager, a white and an amber ale. Added to this are some original and audacious limited editions. You can visit the brewery, but you must make an appointment with her on 07 94 07 21 64. Beer brewing workshops are also organized.

TREASURES OF THE COAST: LET’S STOP AT SAINT-TROPEZ AND TOULON !

La Tropézienne: a surprising discovery! Coming from the world of wine, Thomas and Mathilde Carteron decided to embark on their new passion for beer but use their initial know-how in making rosé wines. Success for this innovative concept. The first rosé beer from Provence was born in their small brewery in St Tropez: La Trop.
Our trip along the coast comes to an end in Toulon at La Bière de la Rade. This independent micro-brewery in the heart of Toulon combines respect for the environment and organic farming practices.

CÔTE D’AZUR BEERS: INLAND DELIGHTS!

Need some more good excuses to stay a bit longer in the area?

The Bière du Comté, the baby from the Mercantour massif has been brewed in Saint-Martin Vésubie since 2012. Its advantage is that it is brewed with the natural spring water that supplies the village! When you’re out and about, push open the doors of the brewery where you’ll meet Thomas Martin and Laurent Fredj.
We continue our route to Tourette-sur-Loup where we discover La Mistrale, brewed and bottled in the high hills. The beers are natural, with no additives or preservatives. They are not filtered or pasteurized and undergo a second fermentation in the bottle.

Our journey ends in the Alpes-Maritimes where we stop at the Mare Nostrum brewery. Here, for nearly 15 years they have been brewing five top-fermentation beers. You can visit the brewing room in an imposing stone building in the village of Castillon. Guided tours are by appointment and will end with a tasting.
Cheers!

And don’t forget that alcohol abuse is dangerous for your health, consume with moderation.
