MUSÉE PICASSO IN ANTIBES & MUSÉE MATISSE IN NICE
Overlooking the ramparts in old Antibes since antiquity, Château Grimaldi has been Pablo Picasso’s stronghold since 1946. He produced a number of his masterpieces there which are still on display today. Among these creative gems, Ernst, Klein and Picabia have since been added to the decor. It’s a museum not to be missed under any circumstances on the Côte d’Azur.
At the heart of the heritage of the Arène de Cimiez in Nice, the Musée Matisse is in harmony in the sumptuous 17th century Genoese villa. Admire the personal collection of the painter, who was continuously enthralled by the light he discovered in Nice.
MUSÉE NATIONAL CHAGALL IN NICE & MUSÉE NATIONAL FERNAND LÉGER IN BIOT
Not far from the Musée Matisse in Nice, in a park with lush vegetation, some 800 works by the painter make this museum the largest Chagall collection anywhere in the world. Don’t miss a visit to the Musée National Chagall! A journey between pastels, gouaches and drawings in the mesmerizing world of Marc Chagall.
Fernand Léger chose to spend his last days in the beautiful city of Biot. At the foot of the village, his residence, Mas Saint-André, became his pictorial realm. A huge mosaic façade welcomes you as you arrive to admire the more than 400 works by the painter. The museum traces the evolution of his art from the beginnings of cubism to the abstract Léger period.
MUSÉE D’ART MODERNE ET CONTEMPORAIN IN NICE & MUSÉE RENOIR IN CAGNES-SUR-MER
Everyone on the Côte d’Azur calls it “MAMAC” because it is part of Nice’s artistic heritage. This museum, with its singular architecture, will show you everything from pop art to new realism and other artistic extravagances.
Another sumptuous residence full of inspiration that now hosts an art collection. Auguste Renoir chose to offer his impressionist work in Cagnes-sur-Mer. From paintings to sculptures, and even his studio, everything has been so well preserved that you can almost feel the presence of the master himself.
MUSÉE COCTEAU IN MENTON & MUSÉE BONNARD IN LE CANNET
Out of the ordinary architecture, perfectly in line with the Menton’s motto “My city is a garden”, that reflects all the poetry of his work. Nothing less was needed to showcase the life and work of an artist and academic like Jean Cocteau, who bedecked Menton and the whole coast in his dreams.

Finally in Le Cannet, don’t miss the first museum in the world entirely dedicated to the work of Pierre Bonnard, a key figure in 19th and 20th century art. Le Cannet inspired Bonnard with its landscapes and light over a period of over 22 years.
