Trained at the School of Applied Arts in industry-Paris, ceramist, he turned to glass art in 1979, and still practices both activities in his studio in the heart of the old village.

To get original effects for his pieces, Jean-Paul VAN LITH uses precious metals and hot enamelling on glass. He also creates sculptures in optical crystal.
