The Camp of "Cabanes Vieilles" is a high-altitude barracks built in the 1980s to accommodate troops on maneuvers. They were violently bombed at the beginning of the Authion offensive. Presence of a Stuart M5A1 tank.

The Camp of "Cabanes Vieilles" was built on the panoramic crests of the Authion massif in the 1890s to accommodate troops in maneuver. First in wood, it will then be enlarged and partially restored in ashlar. In the 1930s, a cable car was built to transport food from the Moulinet road. During the summer, more than a thousand men stayed in the massif.
The camp has been part of the central area of the Mercantour National Park since 1979.
