Palais Lascaris

Museum, Arts and culture, Music, Museum of France, Municipal museum in Nice
  • The Palais Lascaris is one of the most beautiful museums in Nice. Located at the heart of the Old Town, it holds many rare works as well as an impressive collection of ancient musical instruments.

  • Residence of the Lascaris-Vintimille family, this palace, a registered historic monument since 1946, was restored and turned into a museum. The museography is organised around the art and music of the 17th and 18th centuries: paintings, engravings, tapestries, furniture, objets d'art and musical instruments from the Antoine Gautier bequest (1904) and the recent deposit of the Fondation Gisèle Tissier-Grandpierre collection of the French Institute.
