Museum of History and Ceramics of Biot

Museum, History, Local tradition, Private museum, Musée de France in Biot

  • The story of Biot is traced through panels, photographs and objects.
The collections, initially from donations from families in the village, continue to be enriched by acquisitions.

  • This associative museum, which occupies the former hospital St Jacques (sixteenth century) and the Chapelle des Pénitents Blancs, gives an overview of the historical path of Biot. The museum has a beautiful collection of ornamental fountains, jars, costumes, crafts and photographs evoking a way of life long gone. A space is reserved for temporary exhibitions of contemporary ceramics.
