Thanks to these two events organized by the Sainte-Maxime/ Neuenbürg Twinning Committee and the Media Library around the tale La Jeune fille sans mains, come and discover in a friendly atmosphere, the fabulous worlds of oral tradition told. Three creative universes for a Young girl without hands revisited according to artistic languages. Inspired by a play by Olivier PY, herself drawn from the eponymous tale of the Grimm brothers, the animated film La Jeune fille sans mains, directed by Sébastien Laudenbach, takes us on the paths of the inner quest... Towards the freedom...

Once upon a time, when villagers' flour was crushed to the grindstone, there was a miller who had known difficult times. All he had left was a large stone millstone in a shed and a superb apple tree in bloom. One day, while going to the forest to cut dead wood with his silver-edged axe, he met a curious old man….
The film won the first special jury prize at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in 2016.
