  • Wreck of 20 m long by 6 m large and 3 m high approximately. The wreck laid flat on the sand.

  • The Dornier 24 is a three-engine seaplane made in Germany. On June 1st 1949. Near Port-Cros, the plane crashed at sea. The three engines stopped suddenly. Captain Bohain leaded the plate decided to ditch, but the surface contact was especially violent. One of the float brake off, the plane roll over and sink. The pilot die instantly but the seven members of the crew are saved
    by a fishing boat, the Anne-Marie.

    The wreck sat quietly at 100 meters at the bottom entirely : wings, fuselage, rudder, helix and engines nearly intact. Hordes of anthias roll over the structures and between the cracks hold out the antennas of numerous lobster.
