Public garden: Parc du Pian

in Menton

  • The Parc du Pian, listed in the Inventory of Historic Monuments since 1955, is an exceptional olive grove laid out in terraces facing the sea. 540 olive trees, some of which are several hundred years old, flourish on an area of 3 hectares.

  • Eco-pasture is an ancestral practice currently revived by the City of Menton in the Parc du Pian.
Herds of sheep come to graze there every spring and thus ensure the maintenance in respect of ecology.
The olive grove is also devoted to the pleasures of walkers and families: it is an ideal place for picnics, children's games, daydreaming and contemplation. Numerous events are organised here all year round.
