Weekend, All inclusive, Botanical in Tende

Recognize medicinal plants along the way, conserve them. Making bath salts and aromatic oils. Great principles of phytotherapy.
Spring, with its myriads of flowers, is the time for cultivation and the first distillations of the season at the Tournou farm, perched in the middle of the wilderness at an altitude of 1,200 metres.
In the company of Julien, we will weave links with the beautiful medicinal plants that we will meet along the way, on the crop beds or in the splendid surrounding nature. We will learn how to recognize them, understand them, pick them, dry them and preserve them. We will make aromatic bath...Spring, with its myriads of flowers, is the time for cultivation and the first distillations of the season at the Tournou farm, perched in the middle of the wilderness at an altitude of 1,200 metres.

We will learn how to recognize them, understand them, pick them, dry them and preserve them. We will make aromatic bath salts and solarised oils. We will also learn about the main principles of phytotherapy.
You will take your preparations home with you.
PRINCIPLES OF TRAINING :
Our region offers us the immense privilege of a spring that lasts four months, from the sea to the high mountains. Innumerable picking possibilities...almost eighty percent of the French flora. We will study both the coastal and hilly Mediterranean environment, the hinterland and all the mountain levels.
This is a field training course. The plants will be approached as they present themselves to us during our travels. It is these encounters that will weave the thread of the day. We will be able to talk about biology, classification, physiology, reproduction, adaptation, phytosociology or any other related subject. Medicinal and dietary properties will be discussed in particular depth.
My objective is that a person who has completed the complete cycle will have acquired all the fundamental knowledge to be able to go deeper into the subject of his or her choice in the world of ethnobotany in a perfectly autonomous way.
The principle of this training is to accumulate concrete and practical experience in the identification, collection, use and processing of plants. It is intended for beginners or not, who wish to acquire the indispensable bases in botany and ethnobotany. During the outings, I will talk a lot about the medicinal or other properties of plants. We will see many different species. The best way to really fix this knowledge in your memory is to go back alone to the field, as often as possible, to observe, collect, identify... The themes of the outings and weekends define the trend of the latter, however the interventions will not necessarily be limited to the theme addressed and will most often embrace the whole field of ethnobotany.

Route de la Pia
If you want to take notes, provide a hard notebook, coloured pens, etc. For those who want to make an herbarium of outings, you can take a leaf, a fruit and stick it on your page with tape... A photo is a good way but you should write down the numbers of the photos in a notebook and note the name of the plant. You can record but it's a big job to transcribe... One way or another, choose the method you want, but don't let it take up all your attention. Keep it simple. You've understood it, we'll be outdoors. Everyone will have to bring hiking equipment: shoes, backpacks, waterproof jacket, sleeping bag, water bottle, knife, picking bag...
NIGHTS AND MEALS :
For nights in tents, you can take your equipment with you but I can lend you some (tents, mattresses). I also take care of the kitchen equipment and the dishes. The bivouacs will take place in the mountains, at Alain's house or at Julien's medicinal plant farm. During the day outings, everyone brings something and we share it. During the weekends, I take care of all the meals except the first picnic. We will cook together very simple dishes based on wild plants but also one or two more elaborate recipes. The cost of these meals is included in the price of the stay.
