Footpath Les charmes

In front of the town hall, we cross the Place des Platanes until the Monument aux Morts . We head left on the asphalt road that passes to the left of the buildings of the Agricultural Cooperative (marked in yellow ). After about 500 m ( B.103) on the right a track crosses a level crossing, we follow it to the end.
It extends to the right by a path that leads, in the undergrowth, to the Suez valley. Notice a local tree: the hornbeam-hop (its fruit, in the shape of a small lantern reminds curiously that of the hops) We return to Sospel by the same route .
Variant ( provide in addition 2 h of walk, 4,5 km and 250 m of altitude difference)
You cross a valley and you go up the right bank trail to the ruin of Cuore, on a flat. You continue to the right, behind the ruin, on a path marked in yellow. One passes close to a barn and one crosses successively two wooded valleys. We continue with a long crossing on the mountainside to reach ( B. 107) the path GR 52 ( marked red and white). We descend this path for 200 m. There, it joins a forest track that, while circling the nipple of Castès, takes us back to Sospel.
