Exhibition: Nero - Yves Misericordia

Cultural, Exhibition, Painting, Poetry, Sculpture in Sainte-Maxime

  • "Yves MISERICORDIA is of this race of artist who expects painting to renew our gaze on the world".

After a journey through colour, black imposed itself on him to illuminate most of his paintings. Yves Miséricordia subtly makes us receptive to the ineffable reality of things, to the warm presence of the dark to which he knows how to give the mobility of a space without borders, of unfinished forms, of immobile hours…

"The exhibition is called "Nero" from the Italian "Noir". More singing, more flowing, like the ink or the paint I use. A fluidity that allows the length of the gesture until the flight of the hand, after leaving a trace that escapes me. In the silence where I stand, it can be a sign of a "sounding" dream, and at the same time an infinite questioning."

Yves Miséricordia is also a poet. Author of several collections of poetry, his texts have been published in the reviews of poetry "Teste" and "Poïesis". His visual and poetic approaches constantly merge in his work and lead him to develop a reflection on the alchemical work.
