Exhibition: The Hand Revealed

Cultural, Exhibition, Archeological in Sainte-Maxime

  • This exhibition imagined and designed by the archaeological association Aristide Fabre will allow you to touch with the finger the work of excavation and interpretation of the archaeologist.

A symbol with multiple meanings, since the dawn of time, the hand has played a vital role in the socio-cultural development of man.

It is above all a tool and a means of direct contact with the outside world. The hand makes, implores, touches, prays and protects. Its perfection escapes us as it seems natural.

In art, in decoration, it can be both subject and tool. Affixed to a wall intentionally or unintentionally, its imprint moves. It proposes a journey through time into the human condition.
