Built at the feet of the mound of the ancient château, this building has a single nave, two side chapels and a square bell tower, added in 1934 during its restoration. Characterised by its baroque interior, it is dedicated to Saint Nicolas, Bishop of Myre, in Asia Minor, in the fourth century. The church has several interesting works, in particular a beautiful altar piece by François Bréa, "Christ aux Cinq Plaies" (around 1555). An altar piece of classical composition with bright colours, but the central image of Christ aux Cinq Plaies is new. Before the Cross, Christ is standing, wearing only the cloth over his loins, and over his shoulders the red cloak he was clothed in by the soldiers. The painter seeks to create emotion; he shows the bloody hands and flank of the victim, his face and neck, also drenched in the blood of his wounds and the thorn of crowns.
