The route is exclusively on high altitude paths which are well suited to mountain biking: the crossing between the Baisse de Peïrefique and the Baisse d’Ourne is, in particular, among one of the most beautiful routes in the Haute Roya.The length of the route means there’s no time to dawdle, but you will pass through sites filled with history, such as the ancient Route du Col de Tende, a historic link which has, since antiquity, enabled travellers to journey between Piedmont and the Mediterranean, or the Central and Marguerie forts, Italian fortifications constructed in the second half of the 19th century, offering a journey back in time.
