The Saint-Pierre chapel in Villefranche-sur-Mer is a sacred place. Decorated outside and inside by Jean Cocteau, including illustrations of the life of the Apostle Peter, patron saint of fishermen.

Place of worship at its beginning. After a fire, it then serves as a reserve for fishing equipment (nets etc). It also houses the Tribunal de Pêche, called "prud'homie des pêcheurs". Then resident with Madame Francine Weisweiller, in St. Jean-Cap-Ferrat, and after receiving the approval of the fishermen, Jean Cocteau decorates the exterior and interior of the chapel between 1956 and 1957.
Today you can discover passages from the life of St Pierre (patron saint of fishermen), the...Place of worship at its beginning.
