Charles Bukowski's life can only be told through his own texts. It becomes a work of art where his hero "Putowski" lives, through his writings, his real story...
-
Putowski is a writer-poet, a vagabond, who wanders from bar to bar and from fight to fight, from funny stories to dirty stories. He transforms them into poems, into brutal stories, and sends them to publishers... who reject them. Increasingly on the fringes of society, he tries to make a masterpiece out of his own exclusion. But, sidelined, censored writer, Putowski has to look for a "real job", and he becomes a postman. Fourteen years later, he has a simple choice: remain a postman and kill himself, or write at all costs and die of hunger (and especially thirst!). Then fate offers him a chance to seize... Will he accept, at the risk of his work taking all the space, erasing his own life...?
A show inspired by the work and life of the poet Charles Bukowski, one of the greatest writers of the 20th century.
