    December 1884. Friedrich Nietzsche spends the winter in Nice in the hope of completing the fourth part of Thus Spoke Zarathustra.

  • Paul Lanzky, an admirer of the philosopher's writings, has an appointment with the man he considers a master thinker. Nietzsche has invited him on a walk to discover the old town and the site of the former castle of Nice. Paul Lanzky, a prisoner of a pessimistic conception of existence, finds it difficult to surrender to the joy and life that Nietzsche claims. However, something calls to him in the prophetic words of Zarathustra.
