Focus on the Festival des Jardins de la Côte d'Azur / French Riviera at Cannes

THE 4TH EDITION OF THE FESTIVAL DES JARDINS DE LA CÔTE D’AZUR WILL TAKE PLACE FROM MARCH 25 TO MAY 1, 2023

Along the Mediterranean coastline and in the countryside, the most beautiful parks and gardens are open to the public on the Côte d’Azur. Be transported by the beauty of these ephemeral landscape creations designed by national and international landscaping teams. Take part in the numerous activities and exclusive visits which punctuate the almost month-long Festival des Jardins on the Côte d’Azur!

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL GARDENS ON THE CÔTE D’AZUR!

The theme chosen for this 4th edition is: “Surprising perspectives”.

Structuring your garden by playing with the perspectives, will be the challenge of this 4th edition!

The play on perspectives has been part of the landscaping art for centuries.

The greatest landscape architects have always been able to dramatize gardens in order to make them works of art in their own right.

To do this, they played on optical illusions, using pathways, alignments or key points such as a tree, a plant, a water feature, a sculpture, etc.

Consequently, while exploring, the visitor will be surprised by the play of light and shade, open or intimate perspectives, unusual circuits, rest areas, and staged landscape scenes in which the combination of plants will be enhanced.

17 COMPETING  GARDENS

The creations will be spread over 6 sites on the Côte d’Azur: Antibes-Juan-les-Pins, Cannes, Grasse, Menton, Nice and the Principality of Monaco.

The towns will each host 2 or 3 pop-up gardens, free for the public to enter during the day, throughout the Festival from 25 March to 1 May 2023.

During the whole duration of the Festival and in compliance with sanitary measures, a range of activities will be offered in the different locations on the Côte d’Azur including Antibes, Cagnes-sur-Mer, Cannes, Cap d’Ail, Eze, Grasse, La Brigue, La Gaude, Le Cannet, Mandelieu- La Napoule, Menton, Monaco, Nice, Peymeinade, Plan-du Var, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat and Vallauris.
