THE CÔTE D’AZUR MERCANTOUR ULTRA-TRAIL: A UNIQUE LANDSCAPE!
Its climbs and technicality make it one of the most difficult trails in the world!
Trail enthusiasts, exceptional landscapes await you – from the beaches of Nice to the mountains of the Mercantour National Park. A 10,000 meter climb and a 9,000 meter descent before you reach the finish line at 950 meters! From Nice, you’ll cross 18 beautiful towns and villages on the Côte d’Azur: Nice – Falicon – Aspremont – Tourette-Levens – Cantaron – Châteauneuf-Villevieille – Bendejun – Coaraze – Levens – Duranus – Utelle – La Tour-sur- Tinée – Clans – Lantosque – Roquebillière – Belvedere – Valdeblore La Colmiane – Venanson – Saint-Martin-Vésubie. You will travel the famous GR5 – not forgetting the legendary Route du Sel.
THE CÔTE D’AZUR ULTRA-TRAIL: AN EXTRAORDINARY SPORTING ADVENTURE!
There are several routes: 145, 90, 70, 45, 25, 12 kilometres or vertical kilometres.
On the sidelines of the main event, the Côte d’Azur Mercantour Ultra-Trail has hosted the Trails de la Vésubie events. Two new distances complete the offer: as an alternative to the 145 km, a 90 km was proposed starting from Nice but also a vertical kilometre distance. In total: 7 distances with exceptional routes, 360 degree panoramic views with the Mediterranean on the horizon – without forgetting the beauty of the alpine peaks such as Mont-Pépoiri, the highest point of the route at 2,674 meters.

For the 145 km, Nice beaches to mountains, 9,400 meters to climb and 8,850 to hurtle down to reach the arrival altitude of 950 meters. Difficulties: Mont Chauve, Férion, Tour de Guet, Sanctuaire Madone d’Utelle, Mont Tournairet, Cime de la Valette de Prals, Cime du Pisset, Mont Archas.
The 90 km route allows you to enjoy the landscapes of the high country of Nice and the Mercantour. 6,000 meters to climb, 5,000 to go down. Difficulties: Mont-Chauve, Férion, Tour de Guet, Sanctuaire Madone d’Utelle, Mont-Tournairet.
