KAYAKING ALONG THE ESTÉREL CREEKS

With family or friends, discover the Estérel as you have never before seen it – from sea!

An idea for an original activity that will take you to sea with confidence. Close to Saint-Raphaël, from Dramont beach, opt for a maritime escapade using just the strength of your arms and enjoy the breathtaking encounter between the blue of the Mediterranean and the red of the Estérel rock. You will discover the Estérel’s beautiful secret coves and caves that are only accessible from the sea and dive into the crystal clear waters. An activity not to be missed to discover Estérel from a different angle.

LOOK UNDER THE WATER IN AGAY

What hides below the surface of the sea?

This is what the underwater trip aboard “Captaine Nemo” offers – a see-through hull on a launch that will take you from Agay to discover the flora and fauna of Cap Dramont. Plunge into the world of silence and stay dry too! You will discover the fish, crustaceans and starfish that hide among the mermaid hair algae. Your children will love it!

VISIT THE FRÉJUS CATHEDRAL CLOISTER

Did you know? The Fréjus cathedral cloister with its exceptional architecture has been listed as a historic monument since 1862!

A little history to keep your mind active. In the heart of Fréjus, the sumptuous cloister of Saint-Léonce cathedral, managed by the Centre des Monuments Nationaux, will allow you to admire the magnificent 14th century medieval paintings. Discover also the cathedral baptistery which is among the oldest and best preserved in France; with its canonical buildings and, of course, its cloister, it was a real place of power and served as an episcopal residence.

CANOEING AT ROQUEBRUNE-SUR-ARGENS

A wild adventure in the heart of the Estérel that you won’t forget…

There is something of the spirit of the cartoon “Pocahontas” when you’re canoeing. Except that you are not on North American rivers but on the Côte d’Azur in Roquebrune-sur-Argens – just as exotic! 6 kilometres of water to paddle at your own pace, in total calm with the Estérel rocks in the distance. Perfect for a family outing. For the more athletic, you can also canoe down to the sea on a 14-kilometre route. Rest assured, there is a shuttle to take you back to the starting point.

ADMIRE THE DOLPHINS IN THE HEART OF THE PELAGOS SANCTUARY

An absolute must in Estérel: an unforgettable day meeting our friends the dolphins!

Do you dream about meeting dolphins in their natural environment and even admiring some whales? This childhood dream will soon become reality on the Côte d’Azur! Take off from Mandelieu-La-Napoule or Saint-Raphaël and treat yourself to an extraordinary day in the Pelagos sanctuary, an 87,500 km² protected marine reserve created on the initiative of France, Monaco and Italy to protect marine mammals. Photos and memories guaranteed!

PERFECT YOUR SWING AT THE AGAY MINI-GOLF

A fun activity that your children are sure to love!

Agay also offers land-based activities for those who are seasick, and for lovers of group games! If you’re a Tiger Woods fan, you can follow in his footsteps on this 18-hole mini golf course in the heart of all the vegetation. But that’s not all, lots of other outdoor activities are also offered in this fun-filled family concept.

With family or friends, dive off Cap Dramont!

One of the top 10 things to see and do in the Estérel, now it’s time to put on a wetsuit, mask, snorkel and fins, and explore the seabed. Not far from Cap Dramont or the Iles des Lions, here is an underwater escapade for lovers of Mediterranean colours and beauty. For nearly 2 hours, you will discover the underwater world from the surface of the water. Discovery, wonder and sensations are guaranteed.

ADMIRE CHÂTEAU DE LA NAPOULE

After having taken the sublime Corniche d’Or road from Saint-Raphaël, head for Mandelieu-La-Napoule for a cultural stopover…

Right alongside the sea, Château de Mandelieu owes much to a couple of fantastic Americans: Henry and Mary Clews. This couple set up a non-profit foundation in the 1950s. It took them 17 years to restore the Château, a former medieval fortress that among other things houses artistic projects from all over the world. Also discover the magnificent Château gardens. Tip: in summer, during your visit stop off on the Château terrace and have a drink with sea view!
