In the centre of Menton during the Fête du Citron, every day you’ll be able to admire the exhibition of citrus sculptures in the Jardins Biovès. Every year, the Fête du Citron celebrates a different theme. The artists stage it with magnificent creations. Did you know? More than 150 tons of citrus fruit are needed to make these sculptures. At night, the yellow becomes gold and the play of light is surprising. You’ll see the exhibition differently. Festive, popular and for all ages, Menton’s Fête du Citron is an event not to be missed on the Côte d’Azur.

The lemon decorated float will light up everyone’s face! When the weather is good, the lemons are even better and you can see their true beauty. For 15 days, the city walks in steps with the parades in the centre, night parades, exhibitions, etc. You can also meet the producers and taste the many varieties of lemon. Like its cousin, the Carnaval de Nice, the Menton Fête du Citron is a unique annual event that celebrates the local citrus fruit: Menton lemons. Colours that diffuse through the evening, to everyone’s delight – big or small!

In the heart of Menton, stop at the shop “Au Pays du Citron”, you’ll be welcomed with a small glass of the famous “Limoncello de Menton”! You’ll discover all the products that can be made with lemons. Just around the corner is a place that is well known to jam lovers: “Maison Herbin”. Since 1975, its know-how as a jam maker has been recognized. You can taste all kinds of jams, conserves and flavours! A little further up, on the hills of Menton, meet the lemon producers during a guided tour organized by the Menton Tourist Office.
