To completely get away from it all, take the « Sentier de Tirepoil »: this former customs path, which runs along the coast of Cap d’Antibes, has become a protected tourist trail – an unforgettable walk in the wild with intimate little coves and past the huge private properties that dot the coastline. Don’t miss this invigorating walk, accessible for everyone – it’s a must when you’re in Antibes. Allow 2 hours there and back between the Garoupe beach and the famous Villa Eilenroc.

VISIT THE MUSÉE PICASSO

At the highest point of the ramparts of the old city stands Château Grimaldi, home to the fabulous Picasso museum, a reference for all lovers of the master. Florists, market gardeners, fishmongers, butchers, and cheese makers will all be there! This former 16th century military fort, called « Fort Carré », is now a listed monument because of its remarkable architecture and preserved natural environment. The fort is the last bastion of Antibes, on the coast road heading to Nice. Sitting on the Saint-Roch peninsula, it is built on a rocky outcrop, 26 meters above sea level.
