Notice to music lovers! For 10 days, La Pinède in Juan-les-Pins lives to the rhythm of the diversity and programming offered by the Jazz à Juan festival, the best mix of all kinds! What better setting than the Pinède Gould for welcoming the biggest names in jazz?
THE BEST OF THE JAZZ WELCOMES YOU WITH OPEN ARMS!
Did you know? The Jazz à Juan Festival is the oldest jazz festival in Europe!
Created in 1960, more than a jazz festival, Jazz à Juan is a festival of African-American music and its derivatives that should be talked about. Although jazz is of course present, it is not in the majority. Rock, soul, funk, pop, blues, song, and world music are also part of it! But the Jazz à Juan festival is also the “offs” with nearly 200 musicians who roam the streets of Antibes and Juan-les-Pins to the sound of their trumpets and saxophones.
Diana Ross, Lionel Richie, The Roots, Gregory Porter … will be the headliners of this 60th edition
JAMMIN’ SUMMER SESSION
The “JAMMIN’ SUMMER SESSION” part of the Jazz à Juan festival offers a concert every evening at 7:30 pm, on the stage of the Petite Pinède, rue Jacques Léonetti close to the mythical “Carrefour de la Joie”, one of the meccas of nightlife in Juan-les-Pins.
Concerts are also held in old Antibes, Place Nationale, on the bandstand from 7:00 pm.
On the program are lots of exceptional groups, many of which performed during the first edition of Jammin’Juan, the international jazz professionals market.
JAZZ CELEBRATIONS! Concerts in the streets of Antibes and Juan-les-Pins
60th anniversary: double the celebrations! In memory of Sidney Bechet’s crazy parade in 1959, the sounds of jazz will resound and echo throughout the town.
In keeping with tradition, on 15th July “Jazz à Juan” will present around ten bands which will perform in the streets and squares of Antibes during the first half of the evening, from 7pm to 8pm, then in Juan-les-Pins from 9:30pm to 10:30pm.
2020 being a special year, celebrations will begin as early as the Easter weekend.
From Saturday 11th to Monday 13th April, to help wait until the summer, Jazz à Juan is offering 3 days of jazz at lunchtime and dinnertime…
