Notice to music lovers! For 10 days, La Pinède in Juan-les-Pins lives to the rhythm of the diversity and programming offered by the Jazz à Juan festival, the best mix of all kinds! What better setting than the Pinède Gould for welcoming the biggest names in jazz?
THE BEST OF THE JAZZ WELCOMES YOU WITH OPEN ARMS!
Did you know? The Jazz à Juan Festival is the oldest jazz festival in Europe!
Created in 1960, more than a jazz festival, Jazz à Juan is a festival of African-American music and its derivatives that should be talked about. Although jazz is of course present, it is not in the majority. Rock, soul, funk, pop, blues, song, and world music are also part of it! But the Jazz à Juan festival is also the “offs” with nearly 200 musicians who roam the streets of Antibes and Juan-les-Pins to the sound of their trumpets and saxophones.
JAZZ A JUAN IS ALSO AN OFF STAGE FESTIVAL!
Make room for conviviality and the joy of living with the many concerts offered in the city of Antibes!
The “Jazz Off” part of the Jazz à Juan festival offers a concert every evening at 6:30 pm, on the stage of the Petite Pinède, rue Jacques Léonetti close to the mythical “Carrefour de la Joie”, one of the meccas of nightlife in Juan-les-Pins. Concerts are also held in old Antibes, Place Nationale, on the bandstand from 7:00 pm. On the program are lots of exceptional groups, many of which performed during the first edition of Jammin’Juan, the international jazz professionals market.
AND A BEST OF “OFF” NOT TO BE MISSED
The Jazz à Juan festival is also parades through the city!
100 musicians in the streets and squares of Antibes and Juan-les-Pins, thousands of spectators can’t hide their joy of living and sharing jazz in all its forms… During this evening, in the footsteps of Sidney Bechet’s crazy parade through the streets of Antibes, jazz spreads all over the city, from the Place De-Gaulle to the Petite Pinède, from Promenade du Soleil to Boulevard d’Aguillon… Note: concerts in the Antibes streets from 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm and Juan-les-Pins from 9 pm to 10 pm.
