End-of-year celebrations in Antibes Juan-les-pins

The Antibes Juan-les-Pins Tourist Office reveals its key activities to make the most of the end-of-year celebrations on the shores of the Mediterranean! Where to share a friendly moment for Christmas or New Year’s Day? How to enjoy outdoor activities? What gifts to give to family and friends? Here are the top things to do this winter in Antibes Juan-les-Pins!

lighting up THE FESTIVITIES!

The streets of town centres are lighting up from 2 December with all kinds of decorations.

From 1 to 23 December every day from 5.00pm to 10.00pm.

The Courbet roundabout is lighting up from 2 December with a 10-metre-high Christmas tree entirely decorated with LED lights.

Launching the Christmas activities

The much-anticipated festivities are about to make Antibes and Juan-les-Pins come alive with their magical, joyful glow!

On 16 December, Antibes will be lit up with a grand Christmas parade starting from Jardin d’Eden and continuing towards Place Nationale, before ending at Esplanade Pré aux Pêcheurs.

On 22 December, Juan-les-Pins will shine with a thousand lights, with a night-time parade with three stopping points hosted by fascinating artists.

Try your hand at skating with the large 200m² ice rink at Square Jacques Leonetti in Juan-les-Pins. Watch the inaugural skating show on Friday 22 December at 6.30pm, preceded by a speech from the Mayor at 6.15pm.

Timing:

  • From 22 December to 7 January 2024
  • From 9.30am to 8.00pm – until 9.00pm Fridays and Saturdays
  • On 24 and 31 December, closes at 6.00pm
  • On 25 December and 1 January, opens at midday

**Skating rink: final admission to the rink is no later than 45 minutes before the scheduled closing time. Free up to 10 years old and €3 for those over 10 years old – Gloves must be worn**

The animals from the little educational farm are there for young and old to meet, along with pony rides, while two Christmas food trucks provide something to eat. These walks are organised free of charge and run in complete safety for children aged 3 to 10 accompanied by an adult.

Tours last: 20 min, and all 6 ponies walk at the same time.

Les villages de Noël d’Antibes

From 16 December 2023 to 7 January 2024

In Antibes, Esplanade du Pré des Pêcheurs is transformed into a real enchanted Christmas village. Amid food and craft cabins, a big wheel overlooks the Christmas tree decorations. On offer are wooden games, culinary delights and unique creations, all available to visitors. A true fairy tale to discover with family both day and night.

Timing :

  • Sunday to Thursday: 10.30am to 9.00pm
  • Friday and Saturday: from 10.30am to 10.00pm
  • Closes at 6.00pm on 24 and 31 December, opens at 12.00pm on 25 December and 1 January.

Enjoy the festive atmosphere to the full as you head towards the heart of the city of Antibes. Place De Gaulle awaits with its family carousel and gourmet cabins. A perfect opportunity to meet Father Christmas and capture the moment with a memorable photo!

On Place Nationale, you’ll find rides and workshops for children which promise plenty of joyful, entertaining moments!

1st circuit:
Stop at Lacan (by Carrousel), Rue de la République, Place Nationale, Rue Clémenceau, Rue Aubernon, stop at Beltrame roundabout.

2nd circuit:
Stop at Beltrame roundabout, Avenue de Verdun, Saint-Roch roundabout, Avenue Paul Arène, Rue Lacan, stop at Lacan.

The 1st of january

Special opening of all sites at 12.00pm

11.00am to 1.00pm: New Year’s Day swim. Free swimming, open to all in a defined area for around 300 to 500 people. At the end, free hot drinks and pastries.

Salis Beach.

6.00pm: Fireworks in Juan-les-Pins Bay.
